Stage 3

A long day north from Langdale over Stake Pass and through Borrowdale toward Keswick. High cols, rocky descents, and classic Lakeland scenery make this the scenic heart of the Cumbria Way.

Keswick is a full town at the northern end of Derwentwater with outdoor shops, cafes, and plenty of beds. Ideal for a rest day or to wait out bad weather before the gentler northern half.
